The Following are the Prohibited Stunts, Pyramids and Tosses that will result in a 15 point deduction during competition. Questions should be directed to the AVYFA Cheer Commissioner.

Section C - Partner Stunts, Pyramids and Tosses

Prohibited -The top person in a partner stunt, pyramid or
transition may not be in an inverted position and cannot transition to another
stunt, the ground or a dismount in an inverted position, (the exceptions to this rule are listed in AACCA rules 2.a. and 2.b.)
4. Single base extended stunts are prohibited. (as listed in second half of this rule)
9. Hanging pyramids (as explained in this AACCA rule #9) are prohibited.
12. a. Single base tosses over another person are prohibited.
13. Free falling flips or
swan dives from any type of toss, partner stunt or pyramid are prohibited.
15. Single based stunts in which the top person is parallel to the performing surface and the bases’ arms are extended must have a continuous spotter at the head and shoulder of the top person. (i.e. Bird, Side T, Single Based Flat Back, etc.) will be prohibited.
18. Backward suspended rolls
and single based suspended rolls are prohibited.
21. Cradle dismounts from partner stunts to another set of bases (including basket tosses, elevator/sponge tosses or similar tosses) also including any type of gymnastic movement (1/2 turn, twist, toe touch, etc.) are prohibited. AACCA rule #16 will explain the permitted tosses and how to execute them.
22. The total number of
twists in a dismount from stunts or tosses greater than one will
be prohibited.
22. a. Exception: Side facing stunts and tosses (ie. Scorpion, Kick Double Full Basket, etc.) may add one quarter therefore allowing only 1 ¼ in order to cradle to the front.
24. Tension drops are prohibited (refer to definition # 21)
25. Helicopter tosses greater than a 180 degree rotation (half-turn) are prohibited.
26. Single based split catches are prohibited.
27. The use of mini-trampolines, springboards, spring-assisted floors or any other height-increasing apparatus is prohibited for competition or performance.
28. Basket tosses, elevator/sponge tosses and similar multi-base tosses are prohibited on surfaces other than a mat, grass or rubberized track.
Section D. Tumbling and Jumps The AACCA Rules specifically list what is prohibited. They
make it very clear no need to repeat this section.
